Garlic Harvest

The garlic harvest is in!  About 15 good-sized garlic bulbs have been drying for the last couple of weeks in my shed.  I was very pleased with the results.  Certainly one of the easiest things I have grown so far!  Not a bad result for something I planted on a whim last fall and pretty much left alone to do it's thing:
I brought them into the house to continue drying (it was feeling a bit damp in the shed).  I found a wire rack tossed in some bushes in the woods near my home last fall.  Brought it home thinking I could use it for something in the garden.  It makes a perfect drying rack!

Note to self: plant more garlic this fall!

It's a wonderfully rewarding feeling isn't it. I love growing garlic this is only my second year but I planted twice as much as last year and I think it is doing well I have only pulled two heads so far and they were great.
